Scania wedding textiles are traditional weavings from the Scania region of southern Sweden, created for marriage ceremonies and dowries. For over a century from the mid 18 Century a very special and beautiful textile art flourished in Scania, expressed in small woven and embroidered panels that were mostly made for wedding ceremonies.
