Chelarberd rugs are a type of Kazak carpet from the Caucasus region, particularly associated with the Karabagh area.
These rugs are known for their bold geometric designs and strong color contrasts, often featuring large medallions or repeating motifs typical of Kazak weaving traditions.
Same as Cloudband Kazaks Eagle Kazaks are also from the village of Chelarberd, therefore they should be attributed to Karabagh and not Kazak.
These type Kazaks may be found in several styles, from a single medallion to as many as four or more. The Single Medallion are the rarest of all and in demand with collectors.
The eagle Kazaks are also known as Chelarberd, sunburst or Adler Kazaks.
