Nain
Nain
Nain is the name of a town
in central Iran with a culture of rug weaving that goes back
to 1930s. The earlier Nains were called Tudeshg, with a different
construction than the modern Nains.
Nain rugs though made very finely, some with silk foundation,
are not considered as antique rugs, and even though it needs
a lot of skill to produce such rugs, Nains are not considered
as work of art by many scholars.
